George Beaton is to be warmly congratulated for hosting and generating such a lively and informed conversation about tomorrow’s law firms. In the best spirit of peer production, with echoes too of rapid-fire Socratic exchange, the contributors have co-created an e-book that asks and largely answers the key strategic questions that all law firm leaders must now be invited to address. This is mandatory reading for anyone interested in the legal businesses of the future.

George Beaton’s new book brings together in one place a conversation that has been taking place amongst the profession’s top minds. Some of the predictions are controversial, and I dispute some of them, but if you want to bring yourself quickly up to date on the latest thinking about what the future may hold for the practice of law, then this is essential. It’s also surprisingly entertaining. Given the ridiculously low price of an e-book, this should be mandatory reading for law firm partners.

Congrats on the longevity of the ideas you seeded throughout the ecosystem. It must be very satisfying to see so much of what you predicted or encouraged come to life.

It’s hard to believe it’s been over a decade since NewLaw New Rules first came out. I have very fond memories of contributing to the project, and I’m delighted to know it will reach new audiences in audiobook form.
